recipe: beetroot hommus

Ingredients:

1 can of chickpeas

1/2 lemon (or lemon juice)

1 tbs of beetroot powder

1 tbs of tahini

1 tbsp of olive oil

1 tsp of garlic powder

1 cup of water

Spices: salt, pepper, paprika, cumin

Method

  1. Strain and wash chickpeas and place on a pan. Drizzle olive oil and add salt and peper to personal discretion. Let cook for approx 5 minutes or till chickpeas begin to split (use a fork to test).

  2. Place chickeas into a blender (I use my nutribullet). Add other ingredients listed and pulse use blender until smooth.
